Man drowns in B'klyn boat-drag accident
A man died in a horrific, freak boating accident in Brooklyn's Gravesend Bay today, authorities said.
The victim’s leg apparently got stuck in the railing of his small-sized pleasure craft and he fell overboard, partially submerging his head underwater as he dangled on the side of the vessel, police sources said.
He was boating alone and drowned, sources said.
Harbor police towed the white fishing boat with the body aboard to a Sanitation department pier near Shore Parkway at around 1 p.m. to further investigate.
